Helena Medeiros-Cansana

Helena Medeiros-Cansana is an Account Supervisor at McPherson Strategies, where she helps with social media creation, web design and media outreach for clients in the social impact space.

Prior to joining McPherson Strategies, Helena interned at Cornerstone Community Housing, a nonprofit that builds quality housing for low-income individuals and families and provides services to promote personal growth and economic opportunity. There, she conducted research on affordable housing and developed social media content and strategy demonstrating the organization's impact.

Informed by her study of human rights from a global perspective, Helena is passionate about creating an equitable world. She is dedicated to using her strategic communication skills to bring important issues to the forefront of peoples’ consciousness and drive them to action.

Helena graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Public Relations and minors in Nonprofit Administration and Legal Studies. Outside of work, she enjoys watching documentaries, graphic design and being the best cat mom she can be.
