Job Title / Role
Social Impact Fellow

What’s a topic you can talk about for 30 minutes with no preparation?

One topic I can talk about for 30 minutes without preparation is the story of Noor Inayat Khan who was a woman of Indian descent who spied for the British in occupied France during the Second World War. I studied her life as part of my senior thesis and am fascinated by her courage and strength of will. I think they could make a great movie about her, though they haven’t yet!

Reya is an insightful communicator with a background in journalism and extensive writing experience.  As a Social Impact Fellow at McPherson Strategies, she assists the team with a myriad of communications, research, and administrative tasks. Reya has long been passionate about social impact work, gaining valuable experience through non-profit internships during college. Her love for persuasive writing blossomed while contributing to the Tufts Daily Opinion section, and she’s eager to apply those skills to help McPherson’s clients drive meaningful change.

Reya graduated from Tufts University with a BS in Psychology, History and Political Science. She received accolades for her senior honors thesis on the involvement of Indian women in WWII, which was certainly a labor of love (emphasis on labor). In her spare time, she loves spending time with friends, drinking tea, and embroidering!
